Clare Whitehead -

Director and Founder of Nutrition4Nippers

 

Clare completed her BSC (Hons) Nursing (RGN) as a Registered Nurse in 1995 at Leeds Metropolitan University and went on to complete her Bsc (Hons) PHN (CHCN) (HV) degree as a Health Visitor in 1997, through her experience working around the country with many families she developed a passion for supporting women and babies specialising in breastfeeding and Infant Nutrition. Clare specialised in a role as Infant Feeding Lead for the NHS in 2009 and qualified as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2015 to support her practice with expert evidence, she is also a qualified counsellor.

Clare has 2 children of her own and Step Mum to 2 grown-up children! She loves travelling and exploring new cultures. She is passionate about ensuring every family is supported to feed their baby effectively.

Clare has a drive for evidence-based care and has written articles for several public and healthcare magazines and journals. Clare is also interested in social media and ensuring that information is current and accessible.

Denise King

Director and Founder of Nutrition4Nippers

 

After a 12 year career as a professional dancer that enabled her to travel the world, Denise graduated from Queen Margaret University Edinburgh with a First Class Honors degree in Dietetics.

Since graduating in 2006, Denise practiced as an adult Dietitian for the NHS before realising her passion was to work with children and in 2009 she took on the role of a Specialist Paediatric Dietitian for Wirral Community NHS Trust. In 2011 Denise was appointed to the role of Clinical Lead Paediatric Dietitian for Wirral Community NHS Trust. Denise has since further expanded her expertise in paediatric nutrition by qualifying as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 2016.

In addition to her practice within the NHS Denise writes quality content, evidence based articles for various nutrition magazines.

Denise is also a busy Mum with 2 children of her own, loves a physical challenge and exploring new places with her family.
